The Annex Theatre is located at 730 Bathurst St. It is attached to the southern side of the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts. Our main entrance is on the Southwest side of the building, right at Bathurst and Lennox street.
Is this a new space?
We occupy the Annex theatre, which has been around since 1958. Many theatre companies have occupied the venue in the past, but it has mostly been known as a studio space for the Bathurst Street Theatre. The building was originally built as a church in 1888. Our re-branding has added it's own flavor and uniqueness to the venue, so if you've been here before than we encourage to come visit again to see the changes.
Should I drive or transit?
When using public transit, take 511 bathurst streetcar to Lennox street and we are directly on the corner.
Bathurst subway station is a 2 minute walk from door to door.
There are several Green P parking lots located nearby on Lippincott St. As well as lots of on-street parking available within the surrounding area.
Is the space accessible?
Should you need assistance in entering the building via ramp access, please let us know beforehand and we will have an usher escort you through the Lennox St. entrance. There is a ramp directly to our space, but it crosses a gravel pathway and the safer route in winter is to come in through Lennox St. via the school entrance.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the strict measures in place for Covid-19, we are unable to offer refunds within two weeks of any scheduled event. Our seating must be managed specifically to our audience size and unfortunately we cannot afford any last minute changes or refunds.
What is your latecomer policy?
Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of our front or house staff. Not all shows will permit latecomers, so please check your specific event's policies.
Is the space for rent for bookings?
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we will permit rentals on a case-by-case analysis. Please contact us for details and more information. At this time we are limiting our max capacity to 50 as requested by the Ontario government.
